APhA Foundation Scholarship

University of California, Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences

I am a third-year student pharmacist at the University of California, Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. I have a strong passion for patient care, leadership, and advancing the profession of pharmacy. My involvement began during my first year of pharmacy school, when I joined the APhA/CPhA–Academy of Student Pharmacists at UCI as a member of the Community Outreach Committee. Through volunteering at health fairs and patient education events, I quickly realized how meaningful it was to serve patients directly and support my community. That experience inspired me to grow into leadership, and I have since served two consecutive years as Patient Care Vice President, where I oversee multiple project chairs and coordinate numerous patient care and outreach events focused on chronic disease prevention, medication safety, and health education.

Beyond campus, I serve as Community Outreach Co-Chair for the Orange County Pharmacists Association (OCPhA), where I help lead and coordinate health initiatives across the county. I am also actively involved as a Legislative Committee Member and Student Liaison within OCPhA, advocating for policies that strengthen the pharmacist’s role in patient care and connecting students with professional opportunities. Through these roles, I have developed a strong commitment to service and advocacy, and I hope to continue building a career dedicated to improving patient outcomes and empowering future pharmacists.
