Ryan Kwok is a current Doctor of Pharmacy Candidate (Class of 2027) at University of California, Irvine, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Ryan is a leading and enthusiastic student pharmacist, with a constant willingness to learn, contribute, and make impactful changes to the profession. As the chapter President of the APhA-ASP chapter at UCI, Ryan strives to create a culture of professional engagement through implementing new initiatives, projects, and events at a relatively new school. Ryan also currently serves as the APhA-ASP Region 8 Regional Delegate, representing the policy interest of students from 6 states.
Ryan currently works as an intern pharmacist at 986 Pharmacy in El Monte, with a career ambition in operating his own independent pharmacy to provide clinical services to underserved populations by ambulatory care pharmacists. With a multilingual background and understanding of culture-specific care, Ryan provides quality services to patients and assists them in their medication therapy.
Ryan is also actively involved with state and local pharmacy associations. Ryan serves as the incoming Student Trustee for California Pharmacists Association (CPhA) (2026-2027), the first student pharmacist from UCI to ever hold this position. Ryan aims to utilize this role to unify the voice of all student pharmacists from California and develop initiatives that promote cross-school collaborations, increase student engagement among local pharmacy associations, and prepare students to represent the profession through means of advocacy.
