Michael Mercante is a dedicated third-year student pharmacist at Belmont University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences in Nashville, Tennessee. He is deeply passionate about investing in student pharmacists and empowering them to recognize the value and impact of involvement in APhA-ASP. Michael is committed to fostering meaningful connections and cultivating a welcoming environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to grow. He currently serves as Membership Vice President, Operation Diabetes Co-Chair, and Operation Substance Use Disorder Co-Chair for his local APhA-ASP chapter. Additionally, he holds leadership roles as Vice President of CPFI, as well as being a Rho Chi tutor and student ambassador at Belmont. Michael is also actively engaged with the Tennessee Pharmacists Association, where he previously served as Member-at-Large and Delegate representing his school. Outside of pharmacy, Michael enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling, spending quality time with family and friends, and serving his local church community.
