Gwyniever Marjorie Lonzame

Theodore G. Tong Scholarship

Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy

Gwyniever Lonzame is a second-year student pharmacist at Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, her journey into pharmacy began through her mom, whose experiences in the pharmacy setting first showed her how meaningful and impactful a pharmacist’s role can be within the healthcare team. Watching pharmacists advocate for patients and serve as trusted medication experts inspired Gwyniever to pursue pharmacy as a career rooted in service, leadership, and community care.

Gwyniever currently serves as Chapter President of Student Alliance (APhA-ASP, ASHP, NPA, NVSHP) and President of the Class of 2027, where she works closely with her peers to foster engagement, advocacy, and professional growth. She is also an active member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, serving as a Pledge Educator and mentoring members as they develop their professional identities. At the state level, she serves as a Board of Directors Intern for the Nevada Pharmacy Alliance, gaining insight into organized pharmacy and collaborating with pharmacist leaders across Nevada.

In addition to her leadership roles, Gwyniever works as a Pharmacy Intern at Smith’s Pharmacy, where she continues to strengthen her commitment to patient-centered care. As she looks toward the future, she is considering pursuing a residency or fellowship to further develop her clinical knowledge and leadership skills. Gwyniever hopes to continue making an impact within her community as a pharmacist by combining the leadership, advocacy, and clinical skills she has developed throughout pharmacy school to better serve patients and advance the profession.
