Emily Scott is a third-year student pharmacist at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. With her strong passion for teaching, patient care, and leadership, Emily hopes to continue to advance the profession of pharmacy at the intersection of academia and ambulatory care pharmacy.
Within APhA, Emily proudly serves on a regional level as the Region 6 Midyear Regional Meeting Coordinator and locally as the Vice President of Patient Care (Harm Reduction). She also previously served as chair of Operation Substance Use Disorders, leading her chapter to receive the 2024-2025 Region 6 Operation Substance Use Disorders Patient Care Project Award. She was also recognized as the 2025 Young Leader of the Year by First Call, a local nonprofit organization working in the field of substance use disorders. Outside of APhA, Emily serves as the Chapter President of the Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International (CPFI), Historian within Rho Chi, and as a mentor within her school's Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS) Peer Mentor Program. She has also previously served as Class President (2023-2025) and CPFI Fundraising Chair (2024-2025). Dedicated to service, Emily serves as a Rho Chi tutor for first- and second-year student pharmacists and volunteers at the JayDoc Free Clinic. Emily currently works as a Pharmacy Student Intern at both Stormont Vail Hospital and Hy-Vee in Topeka, KS.
Outside of pharmacy, Emily plays the french horn and is a proud alumna of the KU Marching Jayhawks. She enjoys taking hikes, playing pickleball, and spending time with friends and family.
