Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy

Alexis Dimetry is a third-year student pharmacist at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy, pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree through the distance education pathway.
Her leadership journey began prior to pharmacy school at her local community college, where she founded a chemistry club to foster student engagement and academic connection, sparking a lasting passion for leadership and service.
During pharmacy school, Alexis has been actively involved in APhA-ASP, which has served as a strong source of community and professional growth. Attending the APhA Midyear Regional Meeting in 2024 was a pivotal moment that solidified her interest in national involvement and advocacy. Through her chapter leadership roles, she has focused on strengthening student engagement, improving communication, and supporting accessibility for distance education students. Her interest in mental health advocacy led her to develop an Operation Mental Health initiative and to serve as the Student Liaison to the APhA Pain, Palliative Care, and Substance Use Disorder National Community. She was also recently appointed to serve on the APhA-ASP National Membership Engagement Standing Committee for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Beyond APhA, Alexis serves as President of her School of Pharmacy’s Student Government Association and continues to develop her leadership skills through the 2025–2026 Phi Lambda Sigma Leader Academy cohort. She has professional interests in mental health, ambulatory care, pediatrics, and association-based leadership.
Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys crocheting, spending time with her nine siblings, and shark tooth hunting along the coast of South Carolina.
