Adrienne Simmons, PharmD, MS
Adrienne Simmons, PharmD, MS recently joined the Government Affairs team at Gilead Sciences as Director of U.S. Policy Advocacy and Alliances, based in Washington, DC. In this role, she leads efforts to build strategic partnerships and advance health policy through collaboration with provider organizations.
Adrienne brings extensive experience in public health, health policy, and pharmacy. She previously served as a Public Health Analyst at the HRSA HIV/AIDS Bureau, where she supported HIV care delivery and managed Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program funding. Prior to that, she was Director of Programs at the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable, working to eliminate policy barriers to hepatitis care. Her pharmacy background includes work as a pharmacist at UNC Medical Center, where she completed a Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency focused on improving medication access and care delivery across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Adrienne is passionate about health equity and systems-level change. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and attending concerts and WNBA games.
