Ahmed Nour

John A. Gans Scholarship

Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy

Ahmed is a third-year Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at VCU School of Pharmacy and an intern at CVS Pharmacy and Bon Secours Mercy Health, with extensive involvement in international organizations and leadership experiences, and community outreach. He is the 26-27 National Project Coordinator for APhA-ASP and a member of its International Standing Committee, where he manages professional development and pharmacy education initiatives between member organizations of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) and chapters across the United States.


Ahmed participates in global health policy discussions to advocate for the pharmacy profession and systems-level improvement, serving as an official delegate for APhA-ASP and IPSF at international conferences, including the IPSF World Congress and PAHO-WHO. Beyond his organizational leadership, he is involved in multiple research projects at the VCU School of Pharmacy, in the fields of Pharmacogenomics, Real-World Evidence Analysis, and International Pharmacy. He also participated in multiple competitions, where his teams placed 1st place in the International IPSF Competition and the National IPHO VIP Case Competition.


Beyond his involvement at the school, he is also the Co-founder of PRN Connect, a non-profit organization that aims to bridge the gap between the healthcare system and the community to support sustainable community wellbeing through education, prevention, and awareness initiatives.


Ahmed’s professional interests lie in the intersection of clinical science, patient safety, and global health, with the motivation to make a positive impact on patient health locally and globally, and the desire to be a meaningful resource for the underserved.
