Lisa Tonrey, MHA, RPh, PhC, FAPhA

Lisa Tonrey possesses a forty-year leadership career dedicated to improving the health of underserved and vulnerable populations. She served a 22-year active-duty career as a Commissioned Officer of the U.S. Public Health Service as a clinical pharmacist, health administrator, and public health advisor.  Her federal service includes: the USPHS Bureau of Medical Services, U.S. Army, Health Resources and Services Administration Bureau of Primary Healthcare, and IHS.  Tonrey served as the President of the American Pharmacists Association from 2003 to 2004. She was the first and only woman on active duty to hold that position. In 2019, she completed a five-year term on the Arizona Pharmacy Association Board of Trustees and treasurer. Tonrey currently serves as a pharmacist and technical advisor for the U.S. Agency for International Development, Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance. She is the CEO and Founder of HealthEGRN Blockchain Solutions and Tonrey Consulting Group. She holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Rutgers University and a Master of Health Administration from Chapman University. She is a Fellow of the University of Pennsylvania Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, and a Fellow of the American Pharmacists Association. Her awards include the AHC, Best in Medicine; Arizona Pharmacy Association Hall of Fame; APhA Foundation, Pinnacle Award; Pharmacy Times Next-Generation, Pharmacist of the Year; USPHS Pharmacist Leadership and Clinical Pharmacist of the Year Awards; and several Commissioned Corps awards.
