2026 Recipient

Steve Simenson is Managing Partner and Treasurer of five community pharmacies. He is involved in project IMPACT, Practice Based Research, Medication Therapy Management, Collaborative Practice, Employer Health and Wellness services and Compounding. He served 9 years, including as President from 2013 to 2014, on the APhA Board of Trustees, and serving on the Finance and Government Affairs Committees. He served 6 years on the APhA Foundation Board of Directors including 2 terms as Foundation President. He has chaired the APhA Policy Committee and has served on the APhA American Pharmacist Month and MTMS Model Advisory Committees. He represented APhA in 2010 at meetings with AMA, NABP and ASTHOS. Steve is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota, University of Iowa and Creighton Colleges of Pharmacy. He precepts Community Pharmacy Residents, APPE and IPPE Student Pharmacists. Steve is a Leadership Advisor at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. Steve is Past President of the Minnesota Pharmacists Association, Minnesota Pharmacists Foundation, MnCare Pharmacists, Partners in Pharmacy Cooperative, and Secretary-Treasurer of Pharmacy Network of Minnesota. Steve is on the Board of Directors of Pharmacist Mutual Insurance Companies.
