Characterizing patient information requests made by community pharmacists during the delivery of Part D MTM services

Mary Louise Andersen.png

The purpose of this study is to characterize patient information requests made by community pharmacists during the delivery of MTM services.

My motivation stems from the fact that I also participate in MTM services and understand the difficulties in obtaining updated clinical data and patient information during this process. The study highlights the benefit of having access to exchangeable healthcare information for community pharmacists completing MTM. This is revolutionizing community pharmacy practices, and I am very grateful to have a chance to conduct my research in this field under the mentorship of Dr. Snyder and Dr. Riley-Jensen.

I am most excited to meet the participating pharmacists all around Indianapolis upon IRB approval. Since I did not graduate from a pharmacy school here, this would be a great opportunity to connect! I am deeply honored to have received the APhA Incentive Grant and look forward to collaborating with these pharmacists to produce meaningful research.
