“HIV point-of-care testing in the community setting may increase access to care and improve health outcomes. Being able to assess perceived risk, knowledge, and perception of testing at a community pharmacy will allow pharmacists to determine knowledge gaps and feasibility of community outreach to improve HIV testing awareness and education.

I am excited to help bring awareness to the HIV testing service we offer to our community and to be able to educate individuals of the importance of early testing. I believe the information gathered from this study will open doors for pharmacists to have a bigger role in initiating PrEP in patients, to do our part to help lower the rates of HIV in our community.”
