Frequency and Characteristics of Prescription Adaptations Made by Chain Community Pharmacists

Mary Louise Andersen.png

Clare Hooper is a PGY-1 community-based pharmacy resident with Walgreens and Purdue University in Indianapolis, IN.

“My main motivation behind pursuing this project is to help push the practice of pharmacy forward in Indiana. Pharmacists are allowed to make some prescription adaptations in Indiana, but this research project will help expand what a chain community pharmacist can do. Community pharmacists are one of the most accessible healthcare professionals, and the goal is to increase their potential to create a positive impact on the community.

I am incredibly thankful for receiving the Incentive Grant. This will help involve more chain community pharmacists in this research project. I am looking forward to work with all of these pharmacists and make a change in Indiana!”
