Assessment of Pharmacist-Led Strep Test and Treat Services on Patient Outcomes and Satisfaction

I am most excited about this project because it allows me to directly see how pharmacist interventions can impact patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Community pharmacists are often the most accessible healthcare providers, offering convenient and timely care to patients. Acute pharyngitis, commonly known as sore throat, is one of the most frequent reasons people visit primary care providers. The motivation behind this project is to evaluate patient satisfaction with pharmacist-led strep test and treat services and to understand whether patients sought additional care or interventions after receiving these services. My project proposal is driven by a strong interest in improving patient access to care, helping individuals with sore throat symptoms manage their discomfort more effectively, reducing wait times for treatment, and exploring how community pharmacies can play a larger role in delivering timely, patient-centered healthcare.
I am honored and excited to receive APhA Incentive Grant. Receiving the grant makes it possible to implement this study more effectively by enhancing participant recruitment efforts.
