As pharmacists move closer to provider status, it’s essential that student pharmacists are prepared to engage in Medicare billing. This study highlights current gaps in APPE students’ knowledge and experience with Medicare Part B billing in the community settings, helping inform improvements in pharmacy education and preceptor training.

I’m excited to be recognized and supported in this effort to better prepare our future pharmacists. This is a pivotal time for the pharmacy profession as we move closer to federal provider status recognition, and I’m proud to contribute to that progress.
