Development and Implementation of a Vaccine Risk Quantification Tool to Enhance Vaccine Acceptance in Community Pharmacy Settings
As public health encounters new challenges, it's up to the new generation of health care professionals to come up with modern solutions.
The challenge isn't a lack of data; we have extensive information on vaccine efficacy, safety, and development. The problem is our inability to distill this information into a patient-friendly message of necessity when prompted by the phrase, "You're due for your vaccine, are you interested in getting one today?" With current pharmacy workflows already strained, the solution lies in a concerted effort to develop and optimize technology that can effectively assist and enhance our clinical service delivery.
I am most excited to pilot new ideas with the support of my colleagues and APhA. It is such a great opportunity to let our imagination and innovation run free and contribute to the health of our local community.
