Pharmacists and Perimenopause: Bridging Knowledge Gaps in OTC Care for Women’s Midlife Health

Mary Louise Andersen.png

My project is driven by the increasing need to promote women's health, which has long been marginalized in the healthcare system. While peri-menopause is starting to get more attention, there’s still a lot of confusion around it, leaving many women without the support they need during this important stage. As one of the most accessible healthcare professionals, pharmacists have the potential to empower women with knowledge and support to navigate peri-menopause confidently.

I'm excited about the Incentive Grant because it will help motivate pharmacists to participate in my survey, which is essential for advancing my research. I am thrilled to pursue my passion for women's health and contribute meaningful insights to an area that deserves more attention. Gathering strong survey data will allow me to better understand how pharmacists can support women during perimenopause.
