Assessing the Effectiveness of a Pharmacist-Guided Vaping Cessation Intervention

The motivation behind this project was to address the increasing prevalence of vaping among young adults and evaluate the impact of pharmacist-led cessation efforts at USC Pharmacy. By conducting a retrospective analysis, the study aims to assess the effectiveness of previous interventions and identify trends associated with successful quit rates. The findings will help guide improvements in future pharmacist-led cessation programs and enhance patient outcomes.
What excites me most about this project is the opportunity to demonstrate the meaningful impact pharmacists can have on vaping cessation through accessible, evidence-based interventions. By analyzing real-world outcomes, I hope to strengthen the foundation for expanding pharmacist-led public health initiatives. Receiving an Incentive Grant would provide valuable support to enhance data analysis and program development, ultimately helping improve patient care and community health.
