This year’s forum speaker, Toyin Tofade, is the 10th president of Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and its first Black female president. Toyin’s own story takes place on both a global and national level. She received a bachelor’s in pharmacy in Nigeria, as well as a master’s in pharmacy practice and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from UNC at Chapel Hill. Toyin became the first Black woman to serve as president of the International Pharmacy Federation Academic Pharmacy Section and was named an FIP fellow in 2018. Toyin is highly honored in the profession, including being named the 2022 ASHP Board of Directors’ Donald E. Francke Medalist and lecturer.
