Euler is a Nebraska native. During high school she got her start in pharmacy at Gibson Pharmacy in Norfolk.  Working as a clerk until leaving for college, she later found herself working as a technician at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Lincoln while completing her pre-pharmacy coursework.  Graduating from the University of Kansas and the University of Missouri-KC(UMKC) Schools of Pharmacy where she earned her BS and PharmD degrees respectively.  For nearly 40 years she served in faculty and administrative roles at at UMKC, the University of Charleston and West Virginia University (WVU).  Retiring in 2024, she remains an emerita professor at WVU.  Euler served for 20 years as Executive Director for Phi Lambda Sigma, stepping down in 2020, but remaining engaged to provide support and continuity to the society. Â

She is the recipient of many professional and community service awards including the 1997 APhA-ASP Outstanding Advisor Award, the 2003 APhA Gloria Niemeyer Francke Leadership Mentor Award, the Missouri Pharmacist Making a Difference Award, the UMKC Mathew Wilson Award, the Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS)-Procter & Gamble National Leadership Award and was elected to serve as Honorary President for APhA in 2023.  In 2011, she was inducted as a Fellow of APhA. She served as advisor to APhA-ASP chapters at both UMKC and WVU from 1988-2023. In 2023 she was honored with a named award, the Phi Lambda Sigma Mary L Euler Lifetime Leadership Award. During her long career, she was actively engaged in many pharmacy associations.  In memory of her father, she supports ALS in the Heartland which provides care services to those living with ALS.  In 2024 Euler began her three-year term on the Board of Directors for the APhA Foundation. She currently resides in southwestern PA with her husband Tim, a network engineer, of 42 years.  Euler enjoys yoga, biking, kayaking, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her large family and three beautiful and smart grandkids.Â
