Union University College of Pharmacy 

 

Taliesha Hart is from Wentzville, Missouri. She is currently a 3rd year pharmacy student in a 3.5 year accelerated program at Union University College of Pharmacy. Prior to pharmacy school, Taliesha received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. 
She has been involved in UUCOP’s APhA-ASP chapter since her first year and has served as Vice President of Policy, Reproductive Health Chair, P3 Policy Liaison, and attended APhA Mid-Year and Annual Meetings as Chapter Delegate. Taliesha’s other pharmacy involvement on campus includes a UUCOP Student Ambassador, UUCOP Assessment Committee Member, and active Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Brother. Outside of UUCOP, for the past 5 years Taliesha has worked for Walgreens Retail Pharmacy. She currently holds an intern position at the local Walgreens Community Specialty Pharmacy in Jackson, Tennessee- having experience consulting, billing, and dispensing specialty medications in disease states such as HIV, Cystic Fibrosis, Hepatitis C, and many more. 

While also balancing pharmacy organizations, Taliesha has also committed time to actively being involved in the Jackson, Tennessee community by volunteering at health fairs, mentoring young girls, and promoting mental health awareness. Taliesha is passionate about serving and representing underserved minority populations, especially women and children. 

Outside of pharmacy, Taliesha enjoys spending time with her daughter, binging Netflix shows, attending concerts, traveling to explore new cities, and cooking new recipes.
