Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

 

Brittany Allen is a 4th year student pharmacist at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Vermont. Prior to pharmacy school, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Le Moyne College. 

During her time as a student pharmacist, Brittany has been actively involved in the American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists. She served as APhA-ASP chapter president, attended the APhA annual meeting in Seattle, and participated in the APhA House of Delegates as one of two Vermont State Representatives. She is also very involved in other pharmacy associations including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Vermont Pharmacists Association, Phi Lambda Sigma, and Rho Chi. She and her classmate also represented ACPHS in the 2019 ASHP Clinical Skills Competition in Las Vegas, NV. 

Outside of involvement with APhA, Brittany served as a student ambassador at her college of pharmacy, as well as a student representative on the college’s Educational Resource Committee. She currently holds a job as a pharmacy intern at Kinney Drugs, a chain located in Vermont and New York. Brittany is very involved in her community and is passionate about always lending a helping hand to those in need. Her professional interests include the expanding role of transitions of care and family medicine.
