Lauren Williams is a third-year student pharmacist at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Prior to pharmacy school, she completed her undergraduate prerequisites at Campbellsville University.

During her time as a student pharmacist, Lauren has been actively involved in the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists. She currently serves as the APhA-ASP chapter president, and she has attended Midyear Regional Meetings, Annual Meetings, and the APHA-ASP Summer Leadership Institute. While serving as her APhA chapter president-elect, Lauren planned and executed the local Patient Counseling Competition, as well as, developed a video entered in the PharmFlix competition. At the 2022 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, her chapter was recognized in the Top 10 of the National Patient Counseling Competition, and her PharmFlix video won the Most Inspirational award. Lauren is also very involved in other pharmacy associations including Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International, Kentucky Pharmacists Association, National Community Pharmacists Association, and Phi Lambda Sigma. She serves as a student representative on her state pharmacy association’s Board of Directors. 

Lauren works as a pharmacy intern at North Century Pharmacy, which is an independent pharmacy in south-central Kentucky. She also owns and operates Momma Dot’s, a small boutique offering screen printed shirts and custom resin products. Her professional interests include independent community pharmacy ownership and pharmacist advocacy.
