Ashlyn Tedder

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy

 

Ashlyn Tedder is a 3rd-year student pharmacist at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy. Prior to pharmacy school, she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University.

During her time as a student pharmacist, Ashlyn has been actively involved in the American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists. She has served as her APhA-ASP chapter's policy vice-president and chapter president, attended APhA midyear regional meetings in St. Louis and Dallas, and co-wrote an Association Report for JAPhA. She is also very involved in other pharmacy associations including the National Community Pharmacists Association, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, and Phi Lambda Sigma. This year she won her chapter's local round of the National Patient Counseling Competition. 

Outside of involvement with APhA, Ashlyn serves as the student representative on the UAMS Assessment Committee for her class. She currently holds a job as a pharmacy intern at two independent pharmacies in central Arkansas. Her professional interests include advocating for pharmacists and advancing the role of the community pharmacists in providing care for patients with HIV.
