University of Toledo

Hanna Rowell is a 3rd year student pharmacist at the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. In 2022, she received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a minor in chemistry and magna cum laude honors through the University of Toledo’s accelerated PharmD program.

During her time as a student pharmacist, Hanna has been actively involved in the American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists. She served as APhA-ASP chapter Vice President of Patient Care for two years, where she worked to provide engaging patient care events throughout the Toledo area that encompassed all six national patient care operations. She attended APhA 2022 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, where she also competed in the National Patient Counseling Competition. Hanna is also involved in other pharmacy associations including Phi Lambda Sigma, the Student College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Outside of involvement with APhA, Hanna currently holds jobs as a pharmacy intern at both Meijer Pharmacy and Mercy Health St. Vincent Outpatient Pharmacy. She also serves as Co-Director of Pharmacy Relations for the University of Toledo CommunityCare Clinics, one of the largest student-run free clinics in the nation. Prior to college, Hanna earned her Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish from the state of Ohio, and she finds great joy in working with Spanish-speaking patients within her community at the CommunityCare Clinics and through mission trips abroad. After graduating, she hopes to pursue PGY1 and PGY2 residency in a clinical focus such as emergency medicine, critical care, infectious disease, transplant, or oncology to make an impact in the lives of patients going through a life-changing trauma or diagnosis.
