Emily Weyenberg

Emily Weyenberg is a third-year student pharmacist from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in Biology at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. She grew up in a small town outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin and enjoyed “hopping” her way around the midwest. She has been an active member of APhA-ASP for the past three years! She recently completed a term as the APhA-ASP Midyear Regional Meeting Coordinator for region 5 and is looking forward to stepping into the role of Chair of the Communications Standing Committee. In addition to APhA-ASP, Emily dedicates her time to various other college organizations including the admissions committee, Iowa Pharmacy Association, University of Iowa Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society, Graduate and Professional Student Government, Pharmacy Student Ambassador Network, and the Healthcare Business Leadership program. She currently works as a pharmacy intern at CVS Pharmacy. Emily had the opportunity to organize a college wide etiquette dinner and help facilitate the merging of the Healthcare Business Leadership Program with the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. She is passionate about advocating for the profession of pharmacy, leadership development, and providing opportunities for other students to grow. Upon graduation, she hopes to continue her passions in either a hospital administration role or serve in association management.
