University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy 

 

Danny Schreiber is a third-year student pharmacist at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy. Danny completed his undergraduate training through the Gamecock Pharmacy Assurance Program accelerated track at the University of South Carolina.

Serving as President of his local Phi Lambda Sigma chapter and a scholar in USC College of Pharmacy’s Walker Leadership Scholar Program, Danny is passionate about leadership development and aims to inspire others to step outside of their comfort zones and challenge themselves. His drive to encourage others has propelled him into various leadership roles at the local and national level. Danny serves as a member of the National Member Engagement Standing Committee for the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) where he serves as the Operation Diabetes National Liaison.

With interests in public health, research, and infectious disease, Danny intends to pursue a career in providing equitable, accessible healthcare to benefit underserved communities, particularly patients living with HIV. Danny has served as the International Vice President for his APhA-ASP chapter as well as the HIV/AIDS Remember the Ribbon Chair for his Student National Pharmaceutical Association chapter. In addition, through collaboration with the USC Department of Psychology and School of Public Health, Danny has conducted research investigating pneumococcal interventions in community pharmacy settings, HPV vaccine promotion in dental offices, and vaccine hesitancy among patients living with HIV.
