Savannah Cunningham

Mercer University College of Pharmacy

Savannah Cunningham is a second-year student pharmacist at Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. She is originally from Murfreesboro, TN and graduated with a biology degree from Lipscomb University in 2018. She hopes to work as an independent community pharmacist, association management, or academia upon graduation. She currently works part-time as a pharmacy intern at both Walgreens Pharmacy and Innovation Compounding Pharmacy and loves her role in both organizations.

Her hobbies include photography and videography, and she has a YouTube channel on which she share videos about pharmacy school and the profession through a series called “The RxReel.” She also has a blog (savannahcunningham.org) on which she shares about all the conferences she attends, her personal goals, and tips for success in pharmacy school.

During her time as a student pharmacist, she has been an avid advocate and has traveled extensively to professional conferences. In part due to this interest in advocacy, she started a Student Leadership Board through the Georgia Pharmacy Association, which now serves to help connect students from all four colleges of pharmacy in Georgia to involvement opportunities within the association. She is also an active leader in NCPA, Kappa Epsilon, and Rho Chi, and serves as a pharmacy ambassador for Mercer admissions.

Savannah currently holds leadership positions in APhA-ASP as the chapter President-Elect at Mercer, as well as was a previous MRMC for Region 3. She was also recently appointed as a member of the National Communications Standing Committee for 2020-2021 and looks forward to merging her passion for pharmacy with her hobbies to create an outstanding platform for students across the country to connect over the next year.
