The University of Toledo, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
Elise Illius is a current third-year student pharmacist at The University of Toledo, College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and is from Westlake, Ohio. She graduated with her bachelors of Pharmaceutical Sciences and a minor in Chemistry in May 2020, and in May 2022 will graduate with her PharmD degree. During her time at Toledo, Elise has had the privilege of having been the president of three different student organizations, including Pharmacy Ambassadors, Pharmacy Student Council, and most recently, Toledo’s chapter of APhA-ASP. This past December, she was elected as the Region 4 Member-at-Large of APhA-ASP, and is looking forward to this new opportunity. Ms. Illius is also a member of both Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society and Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society.
When she’s not busy with pharmacy school and student organizations, Elise enjoys golfing, running, walking her Golden Retriever Aelita, and is a huge Cleveland Indians fan. One of her favorite baseball memories is when she attended the 2019 MLB All-Star Game in Cleveland, Ohio with her Dad.
Upon graduation from pharmacy school, Elise plans to pursue a PGY-1 residency, and eventually a PGY-2. Her long-term career goals include working with children in an ambulatory care setting where she can provide direct patient care.
