APhA Foundation Names New Board Member and Board Officers

WASHINGTON, DC – The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation today announced the appointment of Elizabeth Johnson, PharmD to its Board of Directors for the 2021-2024 term, and new Board Officers for the 2021 one-year term.

Johnson is the owner/principal of Elizabeth Johnson Consulting in Sacramento, CA, which she established in 2018 after working 16 years at Eli Lilly and Company. While at Lilly, Johnson held a number of positions within the medical division and worked across multiple therapeutic areas. Before joining Lilly, she completed an ASHP-accredited residency at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, worked in hospital outpatient and community pharmacy and spent 10 years working for the California Pharmacists Association (CPhA). Elizabeth held multiple senior leadership positions at CPhA, including Executive Director of the CPhA Educational Foundation. Throughout her career, Johnson has been involved in both APhA and CPhA, serving on and chairing multiple committees.

A graduate of the University of the Pacific Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy, Johnson is passionate about her alma mater, and has been honored to serve as president of both the pharmacy school and university alumni associations. She was named the 2003 Alumna of the Year for the School of Pharmacy.

Secretary            Scott Knoer, MS, PharmD, FASHP - APhA Executive Vice-President and CEO, Washington, DC

Continuing on as members of the APhA Foundation Board of Directors are Laura Carpenter, BPharm, JD, RPh, Phoenix, AZ and Mallory Ward, Washington, DC.
