Grace Shinn
COVID-19 Hero
Grace Shinn is a critical care pharmacy specialist at Jamaica Hospital in New York. In March and April of 2020, when New York was being hit particularly hard, Grace shared her story of being the only pharmacist left on the team to provide patient care. Grace said the hardest thing for her was watching her teammates come down with COVID, including some who had to be placed on a ventilator. When Grace herself came down with COVID and had to stay home, she continued to provide telephonic consults to the team.
