2022 Incentive Grant Recipient

2022 Incentive Grant Recipient: Aliyah Strong, PharmD

Project Proposal: Intern workshop impact on patient care services in a large supermarket pharmacy chain

Aliyah Strong, PharmD currently serves as the PGY1 Community Pharmacy Resident at Kroger Pharmacy in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a graduate of University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Aliyah noticed that interns were underutilized in providing clinical services in community pharmacy. She wanted to create a workshop that will bridge the gap in their clinical knowledge and patient care within the pharmacy so they can practice to the full extent of their licensure. This study focuses on the implementation of monthly workshops to train interns to provide clinical services in the community pharmacy.

"I am most excited about sharing my knowledge with the interns and watching them grow professionally. Thanks to the Incentive Grant I will be able to reward the interns for their clinical achievements."
