2022 Incentive Grant Recipient: Kaitlyn Pegump, PharmD 

 

 

Project Proposal: Hepatitis C Screening in a Community Pharmacy Setting: Patient Perspective

Kaitlyn Pegump, PharmD currently serves as the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy PGY1 Community-based Pharmacy Resident at Greenwood Pharmacy in Waterloo, IA. She is a graduate of University of Iowa College of Pharmacy.

"I am honored to receive an APhA Foundation Incentive Grant this year and I am excited for the opportunity to explore this public health topic and increase patient engagement with this enhanced patient care service."

Greenwood Pharmacy has a long-standing reputation of implementing successful enhanced patient care services. Kaitlyn is excited to assess patient’s awareness, barriers, and willingness to receive a point-of-care Hepatitis C screenings in a community pharmacy setting. She hopes to utilize the results to educate the community about Hepatitis C and increase awareness about the free and simple point-of-care screenings.
