Project Proposal: Opening DOORS (Doors Of Opportunities to Realize Success) for Diabetes Education
“The goal of my research is to evaluate the clinical impact of participation and completion of the Diabetes Education Empowerment Program, including adherence to medications. Additionally, the hope is to identify barriers to participation and completion of the Diabetes Education Empowerment Program to propose, and implement, one solution to overcome a barrier.”
Sandra De Anda, PharmD currently serves as the Resident at Centro De Salud Familiar La Fe, Inc. in El Paso, TX. Dr. De Anda's long term goal with this research is to increase DEEP™ course
participation and improve clinical outcomes.
