Project Proposal: Evaluation of a Vaccination Program in a Specialty Pharmacy for Patients with Multiple Sclerosis
Nora Garabedian, PharmD currently serves as the PGY-1 Community Based Pharmacy Resident at USC School of Pharmacy/ Keck Medicine of USC Specialty Pharmacy in Alhambra, CA.
"Looking at similar vaccination programs run by pharmacists and evaluating their contributions to patient care have always been an interest of mine. Working with Multiple Sclerosis patients where most are on immunosuppressive therapies, pharmacists could potentially play a significant role in preventing major vaccine preventable diseases. Therefore, I would like to evaluate the vaccination program at specialty pharmacy for patients with Multiple Sclerosis."
"I am excited on receiving the Incentive Grant to allow me to utilize various resources in achieving my study objectives. I am looking forward to assessing, analyzing, and presenting my data to other healthcare providers and potentially leading to expanded pharmacists’ role in other institutions."
