APhA Foundation Announces New Member for its Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation today announced the appointment of Christopher Hocevar as a public member of its Board of Directors for the 2015–2018 term.

Hocevar is currently president of Cigna Pharmacy Management, the company’s pharmacy benefits management (PBM) business, as well as president of Cigna's Select Segment, which focuses on benefit solutions for groups with 25 to 250 employees. With Cigna since 2002, Hocevar has also led the U.S. Individual and Family Plan Segment and the Emerging Markets Segment. Additionally, he has served as the business merger and acquisition lead for several of Cigna's acquisitions/partnerships, such as Great-West Healthcare, StarHRG, and health plan alliances.  

Prior to joining Cigna, Hocevar spent several years analyzing international insurance markets and risks for Deloitte Consulting as a manager in its global insurance practice. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Toledo (non-practicing Certified Public Accountant) and his Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Hartford YMCA and the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA).
