Brian Donahue, PharmD
Brian Donahue, PharmD, is Director of Admissions and Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at South University School of Pharmacy in Columbia, SC. His role as Director of Admissions is to inform, advise, and evaluate the potential student pharmacists applying to the School of Pharmacy. As Assistant Professor, Brian coordinates and teaches in the Leadership and Advocacy course taught to second-year student pharmacists.
Brian completed the APhA Foundation Executive Residency in Association Management & Leadership following his graduation from the Mercer University College of Pharmacy in 2015. While at Mercer, Brian served two years on the National Executive Committee of the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP).
Brian’s professional interests involve creative pharmacy advocacy, pharmacy awareness, use of social media in pharmacy, pharmacy leadership, and the role organizational involvement has in improving career satisfaction. He continues to work with APhA on issues related to creative communication.
Brian is an active member of the APhA New Practitioner Network (NPN) and is an officer in the South Carolina Pharmacy Association’s New Practitioner Network.
