Elissa Lechtenstein is a third-year student pharmacist at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. Before attending pharmacy school, Elissa received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Syracuse University. She currently serves as the APhA-ASP Chapter President and as a student ambassador for the School of Pharmacy. Previously, Elissa served as the APhA-ASP Region 2 Member-at-large from 2014-2015, APhA-ASP Chapter President-elect from 2014-2015, and the Vice President of the Class of 2017 from 2013-2014. She is also an active member of Phi Lambda Sigma-Pharmacy Leadership Society, Maryland Pharmacists Association, Phi Delta Chi, ASHP-SSHP, as well as various committees in her school. Elissa would like to recognize and thank her supportive family, friends, and professors, who are the driving forces behind much of her accomplishments. Outside of pharmacy school, Elissa can be found at the gym, cuddling up with Wally (the dog that she recently rescued), participating in line-dance lessons, spending time with her friends and family, or traveling the world.
