Kelsey Japs, a native Minnesotan, is a third-year student pharmacist at Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. In addition to pursuing a PharmD, she completed a sociology minor and global and comparative health concentration at Drake University.

Currently, Kelsey serves as GenerationRx chair for her local APhA-ASP chapter. In addition to APhA-ASP, she is actively involved in American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Iowa Pharmacy Association, Phi Lambda Sigma, and Des Moines Healthcare Student Partnership, Phi Delta Chi, and Rho Chi. Outside of the pharmacy, Kelsey enjoys backcountry camping, volunteering in the community, and staying up-to-date with the current events.

Over summers, she has completed internships with the Indian Health Services in Salem, Oregon and The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. During the school year, she works at a Des Moines pharmacy. As a result of these experiences, Kelsey aims to pursue a pharmacy practice residency and later a PhD within the realm of public health.
