Rachel Howland

Rachel Howland is a third- year student pharmacist at the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Pharmacy at MU campus. After graduating high school in St. Louis, she attended Truman State University for two years, where she was a member of the Truman State Dance Team. Upon acceptance into pharmacy school, she began dancing with the Mizzou Club Dance. Starting her first year Rachel has served as the President of her pharmacy class and has maintained active student involvement in the American Pharmacists Association – Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA –-ASP). In addition, she received the Student of the Month award for her early dedication and commitment to the chapter. Rachel held served various roles within her APhA –ASP chapter, including Operation Diabetes Project Co-Chair and Membership Vice President. Currently, Rachel is the APhA –ASP Executive Vice President at MU and has coordinated over 30 various patient care project events in the mid – Missouri region in the past year. She was inducted into Phi Lambda Sigma during her second year of pharmacy school and has also maintained active involvement in the Missouri Pharmacist Association, Student Societies of Health System Pharmacy, and the Mid- Missouri Society of Health Systems Pharmacy. Rachel enjoys her work as a pharmacy intern at the University Hospital in-patient pharmacy and hopes to pursue a residency in clinical pharmacy upon graduation.
