Nancy Henin is a final-year student pharmacist at Belmont University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Nancy completed her undergraduate studies through the Pre-Pharmacy Early Assurance program at Belmont University. During pharmacy school, Nancy was actively involved in various pharmacy student organizations, which allowed her to undertake new challenges by stepping out of her comfort zone and expanding her leadership skills. Within her local chapter, Nancy served as the Belmont APhA-ASP Chapter President. Her passion for the academy grew through regional and national conferences, including the Midyear Regional Meeting, APhA Annual, and Summer Leadership Institute, motivating her to serve as the Region 3 Midyear Regional Meeting Coordinator. Nancy has also been involved in other pharmacy organizations, including The Rho Chi Society, Phi Lambda Sigma, ASHP-SSHP, and SNPhA. She has also enjoyed serving as a Belmont University College of Pharmacy ambassador for two years through student and faculty panels and facility tours.Nancy's Egyptian heritage and community pharmacy work experience have equipped her to appreciate and understand the experiences of patients from various cultural backgrounds. Nancy intends to pursue a residency to develop as a well-rounded pharmacist by enhancing her skills in patient-centered care, clinical leadership, and research. Nancy participated in projects relating to repurposing drugs for oncology research, and she is interested in continuing to be involved in clinical research that would contribute to advancing pharmacy practice. She also has a long-term career interest in academia.
