Charles C. Thomas Scholarship

Alex Wallace

University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy

Leah Alexandra Wallace (Alex) is a 3rd year pharmacy student at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center on the Nashville campus. Prior to pharmacy school, she completed her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry at the University of Mississippi.

Throughout pharmacy school, Alex has been involved in numerous organizations. Within APhA-ASP, she has served as the Patient Care Vice President and Generation Rx chair. Additionally, she is a member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Phi Lambda Sigma, Rho Chi, and Christian Pharmacists Fellowship International. In the summer of 2020 she was honored to be selected as an intern with the Johns Hopkins Home Care Group.

Outside of pharmacy school, she works closely with the American Heart Association (AHA) fundraising, advocating, and educating others about the importance of their health. After losing her father to heart disease at a young age, the AHA has helped her to find peace in his passing by helping to prevent others from experiencing a tragic loss in this way. She works as a pharmacy intern at a hospital in Nashville and hopes to pursue residency upon graduation.
