Aliya Abdulla

University of Georgia College of Pharmacy

 

Aliya Abdulla is a 3rd year student pharmacist at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. During her time as a student pharmacist, Aliya has been heavily involved in the American Pharmacists Association- Academy of Student Pharmacists. She has served as chapter president, president-elect, and first-year liaison. Aliya has guided her chapter through a virtual environment and led the annual health fair hosted by her chapter, Pharmtoberfest, through a hybrid nature.
Other leadership roles Aliya is involved with include serving as chair for the UGA Dean's Student Advisory Council, patient care chair for the UGA chapter of Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and member of Phi Lambda Sigma. She also holds a national role within the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum- Community and eCommunications Advisory Group.

Outside of pharmacy school, Aliya currently works as a pharmacy intern with Walgreens. She is an active leader in community service, engaging in various community projects and drives in the metro-Atlanta area. 
Her professional interests include pursuing a PGY1 and PGY2 in either critical or ambulatory care with hopes to also be involved with academia. She is excited to further her education through every opportunity.
