APhA Foundation announces Incentive Grant recipients
Washington, DC — The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Foundation is announcing recipients of Incentive Grants for Practitioner Innovation in Pharmaceutical Care who complete their project work this year.
Since the program was established in 1994, incentive grants have provided seed funding for more than 700 projects that implemented new ways to improve the health outcomes for thousands of patients in communities across the country. Within the present cohort, 40 pharmacy residents received a grant to initiate or sustain innovative community-based projects that advance pharmacist-delivered patient care services.
“These incentive grant recipients are demonstrating the important role of pharmacists and pharmacy services in serving the health care needs of individuals and communities,” said Benjamin Bluml, RPh, APhA Foundation executive director and senior vice president of research and innovation. “We thank the Community Pharmacy Foundation and other partners for supporting innovative and patient-centered, team-based care that includes pharmacists as accessible and essential health care practitioners.”
The recipients were recognized at the Foundation’s Contributors’ Breakfast during the APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition in Phoenix.
