Ohio Northern University
Anna Eskender is from Cincinnati Ohio. She is currently a fifth year pharmacy student in a six year direct-entry program at Ohio Northern University (ONU). She has been involved in ONU's APhA-ASP chapter since her first year and has served as Membership Vice President and Professional Meetings Coordinator. Anna's other pharmacy involvement on campus includes the Pharmacy and Wellness Review (an evidence-based, journal writing club with the Drug Information Center) and a Peer Mentor to new pharmacy students. Anna also had the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic on a medical service trip and work in a clinic serving in rural towns. Outside of ONU, for the past four years Anna works as an intern for her local hospital in Cincinnati - having experience with sterile compounding.
While also balancing pharmacy organizations, Anna has also served four years in Residence Life - two years of which she was promoted to serve as a Resident Director for an on campus freshman dorm. Anna currently is the founder and president of ONU's running club - an on campus running group for students, faculty, and staff. She is also an active member of various multicultural organizations on campus.
Outside of pharmacy, Anna enjoys training for marathons, reading novels, watching documentaries, cooking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
