Mark Abdelmalek is a 2nd year pharmacy student at the Temple University School of Pharmacy. He has been actively involved in his local American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Student Pharmacists chapter since day one serving as PY1 class representative, Policy Vice President, and currently serves as the chapter President-Elect. Mark has not only been active with APhA but holds numerous different roles and titles both within and outside of pharmacy; he wears many hats!

Within the pharmacy school, Mark has been involved with the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) serving as the Policy and Legislative Advocacy Chair and the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) first serving as the PY1 class representative before assuming the role of Treasurer in his 2nd year. Within Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) Mark has been involved in the Value of Industry Pharmacists (VIP) Case Competition for his 2nd time serving on both the Marking and Medical Affairs teams. He is also a member of various other organizations including the Organ Donor Association (ODA), Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA), as well as represented the Class of 2024 as Student Council ambassador, and serves on the school Honor Council as a student-faculty liaison. In addition to organization involvement, Mark is currently working on a research project with one of his professors. Outside of school, Mark works at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) within the University of Pennsylvania Health System as a pharmacy intern.

Outside of the realm of pharmacy, Mark is a dedicated Sunday school servant at his local church teachings the kids more about Jesus Christ, to whom is due all Glory! Without his deep-rooted faith in Christ, Mark would not be able to do all these things and deserve this prestigious honor!
