Project Proposal: Patient Perception of Pharmacist Prescribing Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV Prevention

“Washington, D.C. has the highest rate of HIV in the United States. With my research, I hope to highlight ways in which community pharmacists can help with HIV prevention. ”

Victoria Zhu, PharmD, currently serves as the PGY1 Community Pharmacy Resident at Safeway Pharmacy and University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in Ellicott City, MD.

Dr. Zhu hopes to determine patients’ perceptions of pharmacists prescribing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention.
