Pharmacists & Other Providers
Creating Patient Care Centers
The APhA Foundation is proud to sponsor programs that display
improved patient care through the work of pharmacists. The Asheville
Project, Diabetes Ten City Challenge, and Projects ImPACT repeatedly
demonstrate the value of transforming pharmacies into patient care
centers. APhA Foundation white
papers, project reports, and published articles serve as
excellent guides to help shape a newly developing patient care center.
Additionally, the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) has
a wealth
of resources to help establish clinical services and a series
of brochures for
pharmacists to display in their newly developed services to their
patients.

Certifications for Pharmacists
The APhA Foundation highlights pharmacy practices that
are improving patient outcomes and delivering excellent patient
care. These sites are often operated by pharmacists that have
undergone post-graduate training and earned certificates in
specialized areas of pharmacy. There are several professional training
programs available to pharmacists who wish to acquire this specialized
knowledge. The APhA website serves as useful tool to identify
post-graduate training, include those opportunities offered by APhA and
its affiliates.
